Lopez Legal, established in 1991, is a multi-cultural law firm with native English, Spanish and French speakers. Our main office is conveniently located in Fuengirola, Malaga and we offer our services to a wide range of nationalities with interests in Spain. We practise Spanish law and have substantial experience dealing with expatriates.
Lopez Legal has considerable expertise in dealing with international cases in collaboration with foreign lawyers in the client's interest. When needed, we can act for you while you are abroad, our services are cost effective and client focused.
Arturo López Epín
Arturo Lopez Epin, founded Lopez Legal in 2001, received his law degree from the University of Malaga specialising in business accountancy, debt recovery, tax crimes and general economic legal issues. He also has a Masters in Jury Law and is registered with the Illustre Colegio de Abogados de Malaga (Malaga Law Society).
He inherited his passion for law from his father and gained early and valuable hands on experience in labour matters, corporate law and enforcement. He has been a Spanish criminal state lawyer and barrister since 1994 and has dealt with criminal cases in Spain and abroad. This has included extensive coordination with international legal professionals.
Arturo set up Lopez Legal with five other lawyers who specialised in a variety of legal services. He oversaw the practice and his team via strategic leadership and tactically applied this to many areas of law producing notable results for his clients. A few years later he added to his array of legal services in areas such as bankruptcy, company liquidation, asset sales and evictions. Arturo has represented many private individuals and company owners at AGM's and has been an official property agent and real estate valuation expert since 1994.
Arturo will always strive to settle legal matters out of court and avoid costly litigation. However, when going to court is unavoidable he will devise carefully planned stratagems to ensure his clients are adeptly represented.

Lopez Legal fixes your problems, we collect your debts, we evict your tenants and defend you from your nasty neighbour. We will get you an indemnity if you have had an accident and help obtain your wages if you are dismissed. We can enforce all your debtors' assets and deal with your community and Town Hall to resolve fines and taxes. We can dissolve companies of all sizes, dismiss employees and negotiate with creditors.
We can be there at the police station and help you with bail hearings, court statements and hearings to obtain acquittal (or the minimum reasonable penalty). Our law firm helps foreign law firms to defend facts originating in Spain for Spanish, European and UK courts.
If your relative is unwell and unable to handle their own life we can obtain a guardianship and can put in place an efficient structure to safeguard your relative's future. This includes getting proper professional medical assistance, sorting out finances and organising their Last Will & Testament. Your building works could suddenly be stopped by the Town Hall or your older building could be under sanction. We can defend your case right up to the Administrative Court. In certain cases, we can even suspend demolition orders or our own architects can fix problematic building licenses to
continue your project.
If you run a bar or a restaurant you may find that you face problems to do with the lease, the landlord, the Town Hall, terrace and noise fines. For instance, we can assist with selling your lease, negotiating with your landlord and settle disputes or fight them in court on your behalf.
